This is the second in a series of three classes that may be taken individually or together.

If you've ever thought about raising rabbits for meat production, you don't want to miss this class to teach you how to process your very own rabbits. Why pay a processor when it's so very easy and takes very little time? This class will cover methods of dispatching, ideal tools and supplies, slaughter and processing, ways to cut up your rabbit, ways to store the meat, and uses for the rest of the rabbit (we waste nothing here at Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry). This class will be two part- part one will be a discussion and then a demonstration, and part two will be hands-on. You may elect to watch rather than participate if you wish, but I do encourage trying it yourself. Attendees will go home with a packet containing much of the information covered in class for later reference.

You may bring cash to the event or send a payment via paypal (please contact us for the paypal address). Please bring exact change if you bring cash to the event. We will also accept labor in exchange for your ticket, working in our rabbitry for 3 hours. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can get dirty in. Aprons recommended.

Prices: $25/adult, $15/youth (6-17), $0/child (5 and under). Children not participating are welcome to play in our play area in the same room, but must still be supervised by attendees. If you would like to take home the rabbit you butchered, or one I butcher for you, additional cost is $10 (which is a discount- making the class a total of $35) for the meat (you will take home six pieces of meat- two front legs, two rear legs, and two boneless loins).
